"Somehow" this happened while Mom and David were at the library yesterday. (This is in the laundry/cat room.)

This will give you a comparison of Tabi's daintiness to the boys.

It's about ME!
Love,
Tort

Here I am planning the Great Escape with Heir Zebra.

This is what happens while Pa is at work.

This is my new nemesis. People care that she's better so that I won't get sick. It's really all about me. You can see that she has an evil plot against me, can't you?

Tabi is doing much better today. She wasn't sneezing at all until I had to give her orange flavored medicine (at least is smells orange flavored). She sneezed some after the wrestling match with the medicine dropper. Her eyes are completely normal, too.
Why in the world isn't cat medicine fish flavored or something?

Day 2 of life with Tabitha laDiva - she was sick. We got a prescription from the vet & kept her and Tort apart so that he wouldn't get it. She was sneezing, had watery eyes, and slept a lot - even for a cat.

Day 3 with Tabi - The medicine seems to be working as she appears to be feeling much better. Her eyes are not watery today and she's a lot more active... and she wants out of the bathroom! She's still congested, though, so she & Tort are still being kept apart.
Tonight I put Tort in the bedroom & let her out for a bit. She was very happy to have a little more room to roam and to get some serious loving! She had about a tablespoon of milk that was left in a bedtime sippy cup.

More milk, please!

Yes, Tort, you should have been paying attention! Then you would have realized that this adorable she-kitten was coming to live with you!

Introducing Tabitha laDiva, the newest member of our family. She is a pound rescue and got Dad off easy this Valentine's Day! : )
Here she is on her first exploration of the laundry room. (my red-eye fixer doesn't work on pet-eye) We let her explore that room for a while on her own. When Tort came out for the first time they growled at each other.

Here she is looking a bit startled on top of the dryer. She's 3 mo old - that stage where her ears have outgrown her head!

She is a shoulder cat - perfectly happy sitting on Mom's shoulder! PetCo and Wal-Mart both had sorry selections of cat collars, so we ended up with this basic red one. Next time we get near a Petsmart, we'll get a more appropriate collar for her.

Here is the silly girl sitting on TOP of her kitty cube. She starts purring as soon as I walk up to her!

She also likes the blanket that Mom and Tort curl up with on the couch... Tort was eyeballing her from across the room and got "near" her while she was on the blanket. This picture makes her look pretty big, but she is pretty small. If I can ever get a picture of Tort & her together, you'll see a HUGE difference!

I'm gonna go eat now. I'll need my strenth for the midnight yowl... I mean prowl.

"Get this thing off of me!!! What if my food vanishes and my water evaporates while I'm sitting here? What will I eat then? Maybe I should go empty the bowls right now. If I run out, I'll just shrivel up and die... and it will all be your fault!"
Does that sound better?

I am Tort the Great; a.k.a. Super Cat. You will bow to my mighty voice; your will will bend to mine. ...in the middle of the night ...when I require attention.
